Taking orders from drunk people who treated me like dirt...Not getting tipped after putting up with all the abuse...Having to worry whether or not I was going to get fined/thrown in jail for accidentally serving a minor...
It sucked!
It didn't take long to realize that I was basically trapped. It was almost like the world was closing in around me.
I had dreamed that when I was older, I would be traveling around the world, funded by all the money I made in my life, never having to worry about a thing.
Suddenly, it felt like that dream had come down, shattering around me.
Was I going to have to work some dead end bar tending job for the rest of my life?
These kind of thoughts and feelings completely took over my life. I was miserable because it seemed like my life had peaked and I had nothing to look forward to from that point on.
I had to do something...because I was starting to feel...desperate.

So I went on a rampage one night and scoured the internet for some opportunities to make money online. My previous business involved making money online, so maybe that was a good place to start.
I stumbled upon this affiliate marketing forum and read about how people were making a TON of money as affiliates marketers.

This is what I was going to do to resurrect my life long dream that had been destroyed right in front of my eyes.
So I jumped in feet first.
I took out my credit card and bought up every single affiliate marketing product and course I could get my hands. I wanted the very best information created by every major internet marketing guru out there.

So I spent the next month devouring all the information presented in the 'Guru' affiliate marketing products that were so highly praised by the forum members I had interacted with.
Unfortunately, it turned out that...

Wrong!
My first site was up and running within the first few days of work. I had spent the next 30 days promoting the heck out of it on blogs, forums, profile links, rss feeds, etc.
Nearly 60 days after creating my first site, even though I followed literally EVERYTHING the 'gurus' told me to do, I still hadn't made a single sale.
The only thing that had happened was that I was now addicted to checking my stats.
It seemed like every 15 minutes I would login to my affiliate network to see if there were any magical sales made, just in case I had missed the sales notification email the networks send whenever you make a sale.
And every time I would see that dreaded $0.00 figure in my account.
Sound familiar?
So disappointing...
At that point, I was pretty much convinced that affiliate marketing was a scam, and that everyone who claimed to be making big money online were either liars or lucky.
You have no idea how close I was to giving up...
“Wait a minute!”, I thought...
“If every internet marketing guru is telling all the newbies out there to go onto Clickbank(or other popular digital product networks) to find a product to promote, and then to make their website this way, and then to promote their website this way, it's no wonder I'm not making any money!”

So I took a step back...
I realized that the only way to be successful at affiliate marketing, was to do what no one else was talking about, and to go where no one else had gone.
